Museum restoration work on stone materials

Restoration work has resumed in the Museum: Mario Colella and Silvia Marchioron of the Study and Conservation Centre in Pavia Piccolo Chiostro (in the photos) are working on the extraordinary Roman Corinthian capitals in marble, datable to between the 1st and 3rd centuries A.D., perhaps of Pavia origin? We will find out.

Come and see them in the Museum!

The work is authorised by the Soprintendenza archeologia, belle arti e paesaggio for the provinces of Como, Lecco, Monza Brianza, Pavia, Sondrio and Varese.
