Play and draw in the Museum: choose a statue for a friend! Saturday 21 September 2019
For the #GEP2019 edition, the Council of Europe has established the theme: ‘One two three…art! Culture and entertainment”. The Museum of Archaeology of the University of Pavia is taking part in European Heritage Days 2019 with a free event entitled: Play and draw in the Museum: choose a statue for a friend! which will take place on Saturday 21 September 2019, 3.30-6.30 pm.
After a brief introduction to the museum collections and the Gipsoteca, younger children aged 6 to 10 will be invited to draw their favourite subject, while participants aged 9 to 15 will be able to play board games from the past, such as Senet, dear to the ancient Egyptians, or Latrunculi, loved by the Romans. The afternoon of games in the Museum is one of the events of “Aspettando Giocanda”, which will be held in Pavia on 5 October.
