Starting from Monday 2 March the University of Pavia Museums will reopen according to the usual opening hours.
In fact, in light of the Decree of the President of the Council of Ministers, 1/3/2020 (art. 2, letter f) it is possible to suspend the obligation to close museums, provided that contingent access is guaranteed. In particular, a distance of at least 1 metre between visitors (“droplet criterion”) at the entrance and inside the museum must be guaranteed.
The President of the University of Pavia’s Museum System, Prof. Paolo Mazzarello, aware of the importance of reopening the museums and at the same time ensuring the most appropriate safety standards, has decided to reopen the Museum System in compliance with recent legislation.
To this end, staff will ensure that visitors are at least one metre apart in the queues at the ticket counters. In addition, no more than 2 people will be allowed in each museum room at the same time.
The University of Pavia Museums will reopen according to the usual opening hours (the Kosmos Museum is closed on Monday, so it will reopen on Tuesday 3 March).
