Culture cures in a former place of care: the 15th century San Matteo Hospital in Pavia. Visit to the Renaissance section of the Museum of Archaeology of the University Museum System of Pavia, the Loggetta Sforzesca.
A meeting with the curator Anna Letizia Magrassi Matricardi. The protagonists will be the Renaissance decorations in terracotta from the ancient San Matteo Hospital and other 15th-century buildings in Pavia, assembled and set up in the Loggetta, inaugurated in September 2019 and yet to be discovered.

“Four steps between the Museum for the History of the University of Pavia and the Golgi Museum”.
The proposal includes a guided open-air tour that will lead visitors to discover two places of science, the starting and finishing point of a route that will develop in the streets of the city.
The starting point will be the central university building to discover the origins of the University. The arrival point will be Palazzo Botta, an ancient aristocratic residence, which later became the seat of scientific institutes with the General Pathology Laboratory directed by Camillo Golgi, winner in 1906 of the Nobel Prize for medicine for a histological technique that laid the foundations of modern neuroanatomy.
Participants will also be able to visit the University History Museum (open from 3pm to 6pm), which houses prepared documents and scientific instruments that bear witness to this extraordinary history.
